जो मुझ में फैलता जाता है सहरा तर्जुमानी कर
है चारों ओर अंधेरा ही अंधेरा तर्जुमानी कर
था देखा ख़्वाब इक शब घिर गई थी और गहराई
नहीं होते हुए देखा सवेरा तर्जुमानी कर
ये आख़िर कौन है जो रो रहा बे-पैकर-ओ-बे-नूर
ये कैसा नक़्श जाता है उकेरा तर्जुमानी कर
लगा यूँ फन उठाया सांप ने फुफकार दिल बैठे
बजाए बीन फिर जैसे सपेरा तर्जुमानी कर
अरे ये क्या यहाँ पर इक खंडर है लोग कहते हैं
यहीं तो है लुटेरों का वो डेरा तर्जुमानी कर
बहुत सा माल-ओ-ज़र हाथ आ गया बांटो सदा गूंजी
अब इस में क्या है तेरा क्या है मेरा तर्जुमानी कर
'शुभम्' आमाल तेरे दर्ज हैं तहरीर-ए-लाफ़ानी
खुलेगा क्या ये दरवाज़ा सुनहरा तर्जुमानी कर
