Moonlit Roundabout:Response Poem 2

Narrow was the lane, But so broad the intent. Bought were the things too small, But long was the journey it went. Starry was the surrounding, Glamorous the walls, Sumptuous the history Eerie lifelines so said them all. Meatloaf jumping in the air, Fruits glittering the moonlight, Prayers riding from pointing buildings, Blessed the kid with a visage so bright. Clumsy households, So thin the closing doors, They broke from the surrounding world, Even ruling statues, couldn't bring them close.

1) Independent Poem: A Ghazal

A response to Aga Shahid Ali's 'Stationary'-- मन की किताब खोल, शब्द-शब्द बोल-बोल, काग़ज़ को लेखनी से आज महकाना है।

The rhythms of silence (inspired from 'Story of a silence' by Agha Shahid Ali)                                 Silence envelops those whose laughter becomes numb                                 by the passing of dawn. Where their voices                      are lowered to create directions and services for             their counterparts with experiences galore, change to                               spare, time t...

Response Poem 4: Ganesh Gautam

Just a few returns from dust,  disguised as roses. --Not all,  only a few returns by Agha Shahid Ali

Independent Poem 3: Ganesh Gautam

Independent Poem 2: Ganesh Gautam

Response poem 1 - Sukh Mehak Kaur

Hairy fairy. I love tails bloody and Gory. No stranger to Medusa’s Story. That women, she Deserves Glory. A raped woman, no human category Poseidon made her a quarry, Athena, once laudatory became accusatory, admonitory! To Athena’s dormitory she was defamatory, she was derogatory ! She never said Sorry not for this discriminatory! Build her Brand, on her Fury. Turning men to stone, no aleatory. She became the judge And jury  She became predatory! she was angry, not incantatory! it’s an allegory! Many came to make her depilatory.  Perseus, finally had the victory. Power wrote the history. Somewhere, in Shahid’s poetry, Medusa finally becomes auditory. Medusa, my hairy fairy; rest in peace in purgatory.

Villanelle: Jasmine

How do you know, it's time for you to get up and leave? I dig out hidden memories and let my heart grieve, Saved plane tickets remind me of escape, and I want to flee How do you know, it's time for you to get up and leave? Sheets of poetry, letters and dried roses I'll smell, No fragrances, only the promise of demise - so lovely, I dig out vacant memories to let my heart grieve.             Don't decorate any part of you, I hate this show and tell I look for raw pieces of you in my mind - I can't find any How do you know, it's time for you to get up and leave? I try to suck the soul of these memories, so I can sell You see, this pain that only pain can relieve is costly, I dig out hidden memories and let my heart grieve Your heart shaped pillows disappeared from the ground as I fell Your words spoke of love, but they also broke me so terribly I wondered several times, "if now I should get up and leave." Whe...
