Independent Poem 3: Bhargavi
A conversation with myself
While experiencing those days
Wrapped with work, work which you don't like
You start questioning of what's right and wrong
Knowing there's no one to direct you to light.
Even if there is, you're too stubborn to listen
And you consider yourself worthy of expertise
Yet there's a hollow-ness
Where you are oblivious of how to deal.
"You procrastinate, you only talk"
You've got this from many
And yet I fail to understand
How it doesn't hit your cord even slightly?
Close ones openly criticize
Of you and your laid back personna
Why, just why aren't you able to grasp
The concern and forthcoming failure?
If you do what you are
You'll land up no where
Breathe and let it out
I know you have a lot on your head.
No one knows about this
Because of forcing yourself to stay mum
Everyone is selfish, as you've taught yourself
Don't forget-the universe protects, no matter what comes.
When there's no one who can see your side
The side where you're naive
You're very courageous as it seems
As to falter, and stand to back up oh so bright.
I know you're strong
I know you're stubborn
I know you procrastinate
I know the pains you succumb.
"You have a false picture of reality,
You have a false picture of you,
You force yourself to be what you aren't
Only so you can feel calm within yourself"
These words and more
You seem to attract
Those closest ones who care
Or don't, believe you aren't on track.
They say you're not good with bad circumstances
They say you're not a nice person
They say you are only a sweet talker
That you please to get recognition.
Listen, listen carefully
Don't attract them back
Do your tasks, don't talk
See what unfurls and never slack.
Make sure to take time out
Where you head in your zone and delve
Leave behind the layman and
Gain interest in everything that inspires
Making everyday productive, going out and about.
Save, save money each day
Start investing in time
You'll see success knocking
With knowledge and awareness coming in line.
Amazing work! The introspection that I found while reading many lines of this poem, reflected some similarities of my own self too.
