Love Poem: Pallavi Verma
She calls me every night
She calls me every night
just to know if I am fine
I miss her call sometimes
I ask her about her day
But all she wants to know
is if I was wearing the same
old jeans today.
She asks me about my day
But all I want to know is
if she is regular with
her morning walk.
'No more chopping off hair’, she says.
'Only if you don’t shy from wearing jeans'
I get new haircuts every month.
'Don't eat sugar anymore', I say.
'When are you coming home'
I book my bus tickets every month
She calls me every night. I book my bus tickets every month
Hello Pallvi!
ReplyDeletePoem of its kind, good one! Enjoyed reading it!
Jesus Loves You!
Thank you :)
Delete"Do not eat sugar anymore"; I was able to directly connect this line to the poem (limerick form) "Oh I wish I'd looked after my teeth" which was part of my English textbook in school.
ReplyDeleteYour title caught my eye. It's beautiful.
