Call me human
I am but a nameless being
“A
historical account of the sixty two years Indo- Naga war,
And
the story of those who were never allowed to tell it”
Kaka.
D. Iralu
I am but a nameless being
I drift through life
Hidden in the shadows
Of the empire
They who rule
Refuse, time and again.
For my history is shameful
So they bury the shame
Now there is nothing ,
Nothing to speak of
Armed men have long trampled
Erased and silenced
Many, many, good people
Yet I exist
Nameless, as you call me.
But if you ask, I will tell you
I will tell you to call me ‘ human’
So ask, for I wish to be called
Human.
Hello Hoshi!
ReplyDeleteAbsolute beauty! Well crafted and and expressed! Fantastic idea of the celebration of valor versis recognition of the human with all its limitations as humans, neither more nor less. Great!
Congratulations!
Cheers!

Hello Hoshi!
ReplyDeleteWhat I said in my previous comment was just one of the many things: how marginalized get marginalized, to the point that even the idea thrives that "the subaltern cannot speak" therefore someone will have to speak on their behalf, so it's the other who place them in the history and society. How poignantly you've brought the existential crisis of the marginalized. Not only that, you dismiss any labeling after this brutal crush, cause this is feigned acknowledgment (if any).
So touchy!
Many congratulations!
Cheers!
