City poem - Sukh Mehak Kaur

Winter morning.

Cars honking.
Delhi’s traffic, once more.

Scooter knocking.
Hands freezing.
Delhi’s traffic, once more.

Buses blocking.
Men taunting.
Delhi’s traffic, once more.

Once more,
I go
and find a spot,
behind buses that stop.
Pollution is so warm,
heat above harm.

That’s delhi meri jaan.
