Independent Poem #1- Prabahan Shakya

Colour

Its my last night in town.
I’ve counted all the city lights,
With the laws of time I’ve defied.

I've been drifting around
I’ve learnt to waltz in the moonlight
But a little too far to call you home.

In a faceless world,
a place you’ve denied,
do I mean colour to you?

It’s my last night in town,
I’ve seen the stroke of your midnight,
I’ve learned it takes so much
to seek someone to call out your name.

I’ve seen the last fight around.
I’ve seen the smoke on a beautiful life.
A sunset with you maybe died inside.

In a faceless world,
a place you’ve denied,
do I mean colour to you?

In his lifeless touch,
his eyes don’t smile.
Do I mean colour to you?

The time you shed your eyes,
the days when you’re alive,
do I mean colour to you?

Can I be colour to you?
