Other Poem 4 - Sukh Mehak Kaur
in between the pages of everyday...
Bit by bit I'll collect every scrap of skin that my soul sheds.
I'll stick it all,
I'll stick it all,
in between the pages of everyday.
I'll protect it with see through walls.
I'll protect it with see through walls.
I'll kill it's ephemeral vulnerability,
numb its soft creases
and put it on display,
in between the pages of everyday.
It's winters my dear,
soul sheds it's skin
at-least once an year.
My spinning fan tends to disagree.
My spinning fan tends to disagree.
But who's he
in the battle between me and me.
I, me and myself
I, me and myself
are all shy strangers with social anxiety.
How do I deal with this crowd of so many of me(s).
How do I deal with this crowd of so many of me(s).
I guess I'll serve them some food
spiked with numbing numbness of every kind.
I'll wait while they digest and poison takes effect.
Maybe then, I'll solve the case of my pealing soul.
Until then you're free to see me
I'll wait while they digest and poison takes effect.
Maybe then, I'll solve the case of my pealing soul.
Until then you're free to see me
in between the pages of everyday.
