Villanelle- Bhargavi

Is laughter that easy?

How does it feel to be me?
With the trembling frequency
Loud and daunting, but wanting to be free

Emotions, galore yet toughned
Lying in the depths, in secrecy
How does it feel to be me?

All those laughters summoned
And brought in frequently
Loud and daunting, but wanting to be free

Sigh! How untrue and ruffled
I don't believe in them easily
How does it feel to be me?

Laugh, Bhargavi- the jokes are reshuffled
But, how? energies are lost ceaselessly
Loud and daunting, but wanting to be free

Learn how to laugh sometimes, albeit muffled
Thinking, what more it is than to have energies affixed timelessly
How does it feel to be me?
Loud and daunting, but wanting to be free.

  1. Hello Bhargavi!
You've constricted wonderful ideas in this piece, on an experimental mode, as you've taken liberties with the form.
    Loved reading it!
